Kattaikkuttu Youth Theatre School, a boarding school, is located at Punjarasantankal in
Kanchipuram. It was started in 2002 by Tamil Nadu Kattaikkuttu Kalai Valarchi Munnetra Sangam with the objective of promoting the
Kattaikkuttu theatre form. The school supports artistic, physical, emotional and intellectual development of children and to stimulate their self-confidence and ability to work together.
The school offers training for children between the age limits of 5-15 in Kattaikkuttu (acting and music), other art forms such as contemporary dance, martial arts, puppetry, story writing and photography. The school conducts basic education in the morning and artistic training in the afternoon. The school accommodates foreign volunteers to teach or look after the children for a period of 4-6 months.
