Kathgarh




Kathgarh is a small settlement in Nawan Shehar District, Punjab. It lies on the Garhshankar-Nurpur road, about 15 km from Garhshankar. Earlier it was called Khangarh because of the abundance of wood here.

The village boasts a fort built by Sardar Jhanda Singh in 1755 and an old school D A V School.

Takhni-Rehmapur Wildlife Sanctuary, Gurdwara Chouda Khuh Sahib, Vishwakarma Temple, Phillaur Fort and Manakpur Sharif are some places worth visiting in the neighborhood.

Ludhiana Airport and Garhshankar Railway Station are the nearest access points.
