Kastaharni Ghat




Kastaharni Ghat, located at Munger in Bihar, is a bathing venue at the Ganga River. Literally, Kastaharni Ghat means that the bathing place which expels all pain. This place is also referred to as Uttar Vahani Ganga as the river has a northern flow here. It is believed that Lord Ram and Sita on returning to Ayodhya from Mithila after their marriage, took a dip in this water to relieve themselves from fatigue.

Visitors come here in large numbers to catch the glorious glimpse of sunrise and sunset. Bhagalpur Junction Railway Station is the closest railway station. The nearest airport is Patna Airport.
