Kasiyaraniyar Temple is located at Tiruvirumpoollai,
Thanjavur District. The place is 6 km north-west of Needamangalam railway station, on the way to
Kumbakonam. This
Shivasthalam is dedicated to Lord Kasiyaraniyar. Goddess Elavarkazhali is also worshipped here. The
teertham here is known by the name Amrithapoiga. Saint Sambandar is said to have contributed pathigams praising the lord here.
