Karukkinil Amarnthaval Temple is an ancient temple located on Mettu Street in Kanchipuram. The temple is devoted to Goddess Karukkinil Amarnthaval. The idol of the goddess, placed in the sanctum sanctorum, is in a sitting form with eight divine hands. Goddess Karukkinil Amarnthaval, one of the deities appointed by Lord Bhairava to guard the eight directions of Kanchipuram, guards the southern zone of Kanchipuram, mainly Pillaiyarpalayam.
