Kartak Purnima is an important festival of the
Jains. This festival is observed during the month of Kartak (October-November), following the
Diwali festival of the
Hindus. It is considered very auspicious to undertake a pilgrimage on this day. All the places, considered sacred by the Jains, witness a heavy influx of devotees during the auspicious event.
