Kar Hunnive is a festival of Karnataka. It is usually celebrated on the full moon day in June. During the festival, agricultural equipments and bullocks are worshipped. ‘Karihariyodu’ is a special function conducted as a part of the festival, during which bullock race will be carried out. It is believed that if the winning bullock pair is either red or brown in color, then red variety of jowar will be grown in plenty, otherwise white variety will be grown.
