Kapilas Hills

Kapilas Hills, a short range of hills, forms the boundary of Cuttack and Dhenkanal districts. The highest peak of Kapilas range enshrines a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Believed to be the ‘Kailas', the legendary abode of Lord Shiva, the hill is dotted with several caves, shrines, and the ruins of a medieval fort which are regularly visited by pilgrims. A Deer Park and Science Park situated nearby are other major attractions in the region.
