Kankavali




Kankavali is a taluk headquarters town in Sindhudurg District of Maharashtra. It lies on National Highway 17, and is 15 km south of Nandgaon. Kankavali is 576 km south of Mumbai and 117 km from Goa.

Kankavali is an ideal stopover for tourists who are traveling from Pune and Mumbai to Goa. Radhanagari Dam, Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary, Achra Beach and Devgarh Beach are some of the tourist spots around. Besides, Dajipur Bison Wildlife Sanctuary is easily accessible from Kankavali.

Kankavali Railway Station is on the Ratnagiri- Sindhudurg rail route of Konkan Railways. Goa Airport is the nearest airport.
