Kangeyanallur




Kangeyanallur is a small village located on the banks of Palar River, about 5 km from Vellore, Tamil Nadu. This village has been included in Sangam Literature as Thondai Nadu.

Major point of attraction is the Subramanyar Temple, dedicated to Lord Muruga. The annual Brahmotsavam, organized in the month of February, draws a large number of devotees from far and near to Kangeyanallur. Kangeeswarar Temple, built during the period of Chola Dynasty, is another attraction. The village also houses a tomb dedicated to Variyar Swamigal.

Katpadi Junction Railway Station (10 km) and Chennai International Airport (145 km) are the nearest railway station and airports respectively.
