Kandiyoor Mahadeva Temple




Kandiyoor Mahadeva Temple is situated at Kandiyoor near Mavelikara in Alappuzha District, Kerala. It was erected by Cheraman Nayanar Perumal and the presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva.

Surrounded by a huge wall, the temple complex consists of numerous sub-shrines. The temple is also noted for the ancient inscriptions of archaeological importance and stone sculptures. Chettikulangara Sree Bhagavathi Temple, Shri Subrahmanya Swami Temple and Sree Krishna Swami Temple are nearby.

The temple is located 1 km from Mavelikara, on the Mavelikara-Haripad road.
