Kanakalapeta




Kanakalapeta is a village under the municipal jurisdiction of Yanam. It borders Andhra Pradesh, and is one of the prominent fishing units in the union territory.

Apart from seasonal crops such as pulses and ground nuts, the main crop cultivated here is paddy. Water for irrigation purpose comes from an age-old small canal named French Kalva (Andhra Pradesh).

Kakinada Town Railway Station in Andhra Pradesh is the nearest railway station. Bus services are also available from Kakinada.
