Kanakachalapathi Temple




Kanakachalapathi Temple is a highly revered shrine, situated in Kanakagiri, about 20 km from Gangavathi, in Koppal District of Karnataka. The presiding deity is Kanakachalapathi.

Built by the Kanakagiri Naiks, Kanakachalapathi Temple is alluring with stone and wooden statues and plaster models. Garbagriha (inner sanctum) enshrines a Shivling, which is venerated as Laxmi Narasimha. Besides, a beautiful tank surrounded by sculptured walls can be seen here.
