Kallaramadom Bhagavathy Temple

Kallaramadom Bhagavathy Temple, the abode of the divine mother, is situated at Vijayamohini Mill Junction near Thirumala in Thiruvananthapuram. The presiding deity of the temple is goddess Durga, in the manifested form of Kallaramadom Bhagavathy.

Locals believe that this place is the land sanctified by the penance of a great Brahmin saint. He was an ardent devotee of goddess Durga and attained samadhi at the place where the sanctum sanctorum is situated.

The temple complex also houses sub shrines for Lord Ganesh, Nagaraja and Lord Shiva. The Nagaraja shrine is placed in an area comprising about 1 acre of dense forest. This kavu is home to different and rare varieties of trees, valuable medicinal plants, insects and snakes. A holy tank is situated nearby.

Trivandrum International Airport is the nearest airport. Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station is the nearby railway access.
