Kala Ram Temple is situated at
Nasik in
Maharashtra. It was built by Sardar Odhekar of
Peshwa dynasty in AD 1782. The temple enshrines a black colored idol of
Lord Ram.
This temple, made of black stone, is situated in the middle of a walled enclosure with 96 pillars. Entrance to the temple is on the eastern side and is through an arched portal. The temple features a magnificent Sikhara of about 25 m high. All are permitted to enter the temple, irrespective of their caste and creed.
Ramnavami, Dussehra and Chaitra Padwa are the major festivals celebrated here.
