Kal Dighi




Kal Dighi is a big lake located just a kilometer from Gangarampur, South Dinajpur District of West Bengal. The color of the water of this lake is ‘Kal’ (Black), hence the name Kal Dighi. Large numbers of migratory birds flock to this place during winter. A brick road has been constructed on each side of the lake.

Kal Dighi is just 200 m from Dhal Dighi. The grave of a famous Muslim saint Atash Fakir, situated on the northern bank of Dhal Dighi, is worth visiting.
