Kakshar

Located about 140 km from Srinagar - the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Kakshar is a small settlement in Kargil District. It is to the south-east of Kargil. Dalunang lies to the west, Ishmam to the north, Sumedar to the east and Kharbu to the south.

By road, Kakshar can be accessed on the Dalunang – Tasgam route. The nearest railway station is at Jammu.
