Kakra

Kakra is an Oriyan dish similar to pooris. They are made from wheat flour, gud (molasses), and aniseed. The wheat dough mixed with the above ingredients is kneaded smooth to make small kakra rolls. These rolls, like small thick pooris, are then fried in ghee or oil.
