Kakolat Waterfalls is a famous cataract on the Kakolat hills, located about 33 km from Nawada, on the Ranchi road in Bihar. Here water cascades down from a height of 150 to 160 ft. Near the falls there is a natural reservoir. Green forests and a calm and serene atmosphere makes it a favorite spot for tourists. A big fair is held during bishua or chait Sankranti. During this three day mela, many devotees take their bath in the waterfall.
Patna Airport is the nearest airport. Taxis are available from Nawada to Kakolat hills.
