Kakkabe




Kakkabe, the small village in Kodagu District almost shadowed by the highest peak in Kodagu, the Tadiyandamol, is one of the largest producers of honey in south-east Asia. Kakkabe is rich in the natural bounty of orchids and unusual flora and fauna. This place provides ample opportunity for bird/ butterfly watching, trekking, rock-climbing and earthy farm-stays.

Nalkunadu Palace is about 4 km from Kakkabe. Another major attraction is the Igguthappa temple.

Kakkabe is about 35 km from Madikeri.
