Ka Shad Nguh 'Lei Shyllong'

This is a ceremonial dance performed annually at the top of Shillong Peak by the Mylliem Syiemship, praying for plentiful rain, good health, and general prosperity. A white goat is sacrificed to God. The moment the head is severed from the body, they dance joyfully looking out for the favourable signs as indicated by god. The dance becomes more joyful and noisy when the signs are good.
