Established in 1998, the college is affiliated to the
Anna University and also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi and Government of Tamil Nadu. It offers B.E degree courses and post graduate programs. Classrooms are furnished with modern eqiupments with facilities for using audio-visual aids such as OHPs and LCD projectors. other facilities include computer center, centrally air-conditioned library, air conditioned seminar theatre and conference halls with sophisticated audio-visual equipments, air-conditioned cafeteria, co-operative stores, indoor or outdoor sports complex, and modern hostel facilities for girls and boys.
