Jwala Narasimha Temple

About four km from the Ahobila Narasimha Swamy Temple at Upper Ahobilam of Kurnool District is the Jwala Narasimha Swamy Temple. It lies higher up the Malola Narasimha Temple and rests on a hill called, 'Achalachaya Meru'. It is the place where the Lord Vishnu tore Hiranyakasipu into pieces. The deity who is seen in Ugrakala form (the fierce aspect) is housed in a cave, facing a steep cliff.
