Juma Mosque




Juma Mosque, situated at Amini in Lakshadweep, is an ancient place of worship. It is believed to have been built by a saint named Ubadidullah, who arrived here in the year 663 from the Middle-East with a view to spread Islam. Similar mosques built by the saint are present at Kalpeni, Agatti and Kavaratti islands.

The island of Amini is located about 407 km from Kochi.
