Jugijan




Jugijan is an archeological site in Nagaon District of Assam. It is about 6 km from Hojai.

The recent excavations held here had revealed the remnants of a fort and three stone temples decorated with carvings. Other discloses include seven magnificent Shivlings, which are still preserved here. An 11th century idol of Chamunda has also been unearthed at Navanga village (2 km).

Hojai Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
