Joyrambati




Joyrambati is an important tourist center in Bankura District of West Bengal. It is a sacred place of pilgrimage for followers of Sri Ramakrishna. Joyrambati lies 5 km west of Kamarpukur and 43 km from Bishnupur.

The village is surrounded on all sides by green pastures, untrimmed meadows, trees and shrubs. Major point of attraction is the Matri Mandir dedicated to Holy Mother Sarada Devi, who was the veritable embodiment of Goddess Lakshmi. Puratan Bari, Nutan Bari and Temple of Simhavahini are also some visible sight here.

Excursions to Dharma-Thakur's Temple, Mother's Tank and Sihar (3 km west) will be an enchanting experience.

By road, the village is connected with all important tourist places in the district. The bus service from Joyrambati to Kolkata, Bishnupur and Kamarpukur is frequent.
