Joshi's Museum of Miniature Railways




Joshi's Museum of Miniature Railways is located at Kothrud, in Pune, Maharashtra. The museum features a large number of train models collected by a keen model railway enthusiast, B S Joshi, popularly known as Bhau Joshi.

The museum exhibits a fully functional station yard with 6 platforms, announcement systems, three main lines, plenty of sidings, goods loading facilities, hump shunting, a turntable and crane. The models of steam trains, diesel engines, high speed inter city express, underground train, local shuttle train, trolley bus, rope railway and funicular railway, is another point of attraction.

Also on display include a two-lane highway with moving cars, a drive-in theater, a highway cafeteria, a circus show, a swimming pool with people enjoying a swim, windmills, tunnels and mountains and mountaineers.

Joshi's Museum of Miniature Railways is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 17:00 to 20:00 hrs.
