Jhargram




Jhargram is a town in Midnapore District located at a distance of about 155 km by rail from Kolkata. It is famous for forests of Sal, Piyal, and Mahua. Cashew is also grown in large scale. Savitri Devi Temple and the Jhargram Palace are the main attractions.

Belpahari, Bhulabheda, and Kankrajhor are the nearby places of tourist importance. Chilkigarh, famous for its Kanak Durga Temple is 16 km from Jhargram. It is also accessible by bus and has local accommodation facilities.
