Jhar




Jhar is a small village in the Ratlam District of Madhya Pradesh, around 12 km east of Bhatpachalana. The word 'Jhar' means ‘water spring’. The place possesses the ruins of a Shiva temple of Bhumija style. The temple dates back to the 11th century AD. The sculptures of this temple are lying scattered around Jhar.

Devi Ahilya Bai Holeker Airport and Ratlam Junction Railway Station are the nearest airport and railhead respectively.
