Jhajjar District

Jhajjar District of Haryana covers an area of 1,834 sq km. It has a historical background which dates back eight hundred years. Historical buildings, mausoleums, and water-pools reveal a golden era of Jhajjar.

The climate is sub-tropical semiarid, continental and monsoon type. Major crops are bajra, guar, paddy, cotton, sugarcane, wheat, and barley. Two industrial areas support all industrial development of Jhajjar. Ceramics, glass, chemicals, engineering, electrical and electronics are the main industries. The archeological museum of Gurukul exhibits antique coins, status, idols and idolatrous. Beri, Bhindawas Bird Sanctuary and Bhindawas Complex are the important places to visit.
