Jhahangiri Masjid




Jhahangiri Masjid, also known as Jahan Juli Mosque, is located in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh.

This beautiful mosque is believed to have been built in the middle of 15th century by Hazrat Sayyid Jahan.

The mosque is of similar architecture and design as that of other Jaunpur mosques. Jhahangiri, means perforated stone screen (also called Jali), found in various places in the building, can be seen as a special feature of this mosque. It has three entrances supported by Hindu style pillars. At present; only the front part with its collapsed upper side leftovers.
