Jeevdan, managed by Sangli Mission Society, is located at Zarap village in Sindhudurg District. Its main object is to rehabilitate the mentally retarded and enable them to be independent through proper education, therapies and vocational training. Home-based training is conducted.
Jeevdan conducts survey for early identification and prevention of mental retardation and organizes awareness programs and workshops for various groups to create public opinion in favor of the handicapped. Besides, it provides security and protection to the under privileged members of the society.
