Jayatirtha’s Punya Tithi




Jayatirtha’s Punya Tithi is celebrated on the fifth day of the dark fortnight of Ashadha in Udupi, Karnataka. It is the anniversary of Saint Jayatirtha, the greatest commentator of Madhava’s works.

The day is observed by chanting the works of Jayatirtha, and delivering special lectures and discourses on his works. A special feast is also arranged.
