Chambal River, is located about 35 km from
Kota.
Built in 1972, this concrete gravity dam, 45 meter high and 393 m long, generates about 60 MW of power. The total catchment area of the dam is about 27,195 sq km.
Jawahar Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary is located nearby.
