Jataru Kayang, a popular folk dance of Himachal Pradesh
, is generally performed during the time of festivals.
In this dance, as the musician plays the instruments, the leader of the dance performs with Chamar, a traditional instrument, in his hands. This Chamar becomes a bone of content and leads to fight among the dancers. Later, Ghure, the leader of the dance, has to pay a small fee at the temple for utilizing the Chamar.
