Jasden




Jasden, the fortified town, is situated on the banks of Bhadar River in the Rajkot District of Gujarat. Set up by the great warrior clan of Khachar Kathis, it is around 47 km from Gondal.

Hingolgadh Nature Education Sanctuary is in the vicinity. The sanctuary organizes nature education camps to create awareness about wildlife and environment. Jasdan is well-known for its bird sanctuary. Here, visitors can see a large number of local and migratory birds. There is a private fort which is an ideal base for game viewing. Now, this fort serves as a heritage hotel. Other places of tourist interest include the Bhuvaneswari Temple and Shri Swaminarayan Mandir.

Rajkot Airport serves Jasden. Gondal Railway Station, a major railhead of the Western Railways, is the nearest railhead.
