Jamtara District




The smallest district in Jharkhand, Jamtara is located on the eastern side of the state of Jharkhand. It bordered by Dumka District in the north, Dhanbad District in the west and the state of West Bengal in the south. The town of Jamtara is the headquarters. The district covers an area of 1,802 sq km. The major mineral found in Jamtara District is Bauxite.
