Jama Masjid Daulatabad




Jama Masjid is situated in Daulatabad, Maharashtra. Built in 1318 by the Delhi Sultan, this prime attraction is in the inner area of the great double-walled city. It was constructed from the remnants of Hindu and Jain temples in the area. The Masjid has 106 carved pillars. Daulatabad Fort and Chand Minar are in the vicinity.

Aurangabad airport and railway station (10 km east of the town), are the closest.
