Jaisamand Sanctuary




Jaisamand Sanctuary is located in Udaipur District of Rajasthan and is 50 km south of Udaipur. Established in 1957, it lies beside the man-made Jaisamand Lake.

The sanctuary is inhabited by leopard, hyena, jungle cat, fox and wolf, sambar, chital, langur and chinkara. The Jaisamand Lake is home to crocodiles, turtles and a variety of fish.

The best time to visit is between November and January.
