Jain Caves

Jain Caves are situated in Patur, an ancient place to the south-west of Akola. The caves are rock-hewn chambers resembling Hemadpanti Temples. These caves are ascribed to Buddhism, but one of the caves has an emblem of Mahadeva carved out of a single rock. An inscription is also within the cave.
