Jagdishpur, on the
National Highway 56, is a town in
Sultanpur District of
Uttar Pradesh. It is 65 km from
Sultanpur. Satthin is to the northwest and
Musafirkhana is to the south of Jagdishpur.
Jagdishpur is famous for its large and medium scale industries of different varieties, particularly chemical industries. Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL), Indo-Gulf Fertilizers Ltd and Malvika Steel Plant are among the prominent industries.
