Jagdambika Pandit Mishra was born at Ganj Moradabad in Unnao District of Uttar Pradesh in 1895. He was an adept in applying 'Savaiya - Chhand' in 'Khari boli'.
Mishra was well versed in Sanskrit and Bengali. Matra Geeta, one of his popular works, was banned by the British government. His other prominent works are Kallolini, Baikali and Darshna.
