Jagatsinghpur District




Jagatsinghpur District of Orissa spreads over an area of 1,759 sq km, holding a population of about one million. The town of Jagatsinghpur is the headquarters. The rivers of Alika, Biluakhai, Kusumi, Kuanria, and Lunijhara traverse this district. Jagatsinghpur has a moderate climate and an average rainfall of 1,765 mm.

Garh Kujanga, and Jhankad are some of the places worth visiting. Paradeep is a major sea port for trade activities. Jagatsinghpur also has attractive beaches.
