Jagathy

Jagathy is a picturesque place situated between Vazhuthacaud (1 km) and Edapazhanji in Thiruvananthapuram. The name Jagathy was derived from a Sanskrit word, meaning the earth or bhoomi. In ancient time, it was a low-lying wet land with grassy vegetation.

Sree Krishna Temple situated here offers mental happiness and tranquility to the visitors. River Killiyar flows through the west side of this place.

The office of All India Radio (AIR), DPI office (earlier Free Masons Hall), Ulloor Smaraka Library, Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology and Sarada Nilayam (the house where poet Ulloor lived) are the nearby attractions.

Trivandrum International Airport and Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station respectively.
