Jagannathpur Temple

Jagannathpur Temple, on a hillock in Jagannathpur of Ranchi District, is a 17th century shrine, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple stands like a fort on the hill top, and its superb architecture takes after the one found in Jagannath Temple at Puri in Orissa.

The major draw is Rath Yatra or car festival, which is held annually during the month of June or July. Both tribal and non-tribal devotees throng here on this occasion.

Jagannathpur Temple is 10 km south-west of Ranchi.
