Jagannathpur




One of the prominent towns in West Singhbhum District of Jharkhand, Jagannathpur is 45 km south-west of Chaibasa.

The town is named after its founder, Raja Jagannath Singh of Porahat.

Prime attraction is an ancient Shiva temple. Excursions to RamTeertha and Porahat will be an enchanting experience. Jagannathpur is surrounded by the neighboring towns such as Jetia in the west, Kendposi in the north, Hat Gamaria in the east and Kalaia in the south.

Nearest airport is Ranchi Airport at Ranchi. Manoharpur Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
