JNTU College of Engineering is a premier educational institution in
Kakinada. Established on 16th July, 1946 as the College of Engineering,
Vishakapatnam, the college became a constituent institution of
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in 1972.
The college offers under graduate and post graduate courses in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science. The Industrial Consultancy Unit provides testing services and consultancy for various establishments belonging to the public and private sectors.
Spread over 110 acres of land, the campus has a bank, post-office, dispensary, guesthouse and play fields. A well stocked library caters to the academic needs of the students and research scholars. Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls.
