Itakare

Itakare lies on the banks of Varna River, on the southern border of Sangli District which it shares with Kolhapur District. It is situated about 22 km north of Kolhapur and around 15 km west of Ashta.

Koyna Lake, Aagashiva Hills, Panhala, Jyotiba Hill, Sagareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary and Chandoli Wildlife Sanctuary are places of tourist interest accessible from Itakare.
