Irulneeki

Irulneeki is a small village situated in Tiruvarur District of Tamil Nadu. It is about 5 km from Kottur.

The word 'Irulneeki' means 'dispeller of darkness'. The village is famous as the birth place of Pujya Shri Sankara Jayendra Saraswati Swamigal, the 68th Shankaracharya of Kanchi.
