Iringol Forest Temple

Durga Devi Temple

Iringol Forest Temple is an ancient shrine at Iringol, a scenic place that has potential to attract tourists, in Ernakulam District. Situated deep inside the thick forest, the temple is about 3 km from Perumbavoor and 8 km from Kaladi.

The presiding deity is Goddess Durga, the mother goddess. Devotees believe that the deity's power is present in all the flora and fauna around the temple. Therefore no tree or even a shrub is cut off or removed from the forest.

Kochi, the commercial and industrial capital of Kerala, is around 30 km from Perumbavoor. The temple can be easily accessed from Angamaly Railway Station and Aluva Railway Station.
